Staffy Rescue Queensland
Thank you for supporting rescue staffies, QLD Staffy and Amstaff Rescue (QSAR)
We are all about improving the lives of Staffordshire Bull Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers and their crosses in need of help. We do this by providing rescue, foster care, education, training support, and adoption into safe and loving homes. Our work involves but is not limited to advertising, marketing, transporting, feeding, vet work, medical care, and temporary kenneling, fostering or homing.
QSAR needs all the help it can get so if you are a staffy lover or just an animal lover check out the options below that will help us to not only care for the animals in need of rescue but increase our education and awareness programs to reduce this number.
Some Of Our Current Available Adoptee's
You can tick off that all important bucket list item "Save A Life" by adopting one of our dogs in need of a home. Some featured pups are shown below, however you can view all our adoptees here.
Meet Harvey!
I’m Harvey, a 15 month old American Bulldog. I am looking for my forever home, and I would love to share that home with a female doggo as I don’t really like being alone - so I would love someone who is home more often than not too. I don’t really like meeting new people but give me a few hours and I’ll be your best friend! I love to go for walks, or cuddle up on the couch (or the bed) to watch some netflix. I love meeting and playing with new dogs too - both big and small. I have good manners, don’t mind car rides, walk well on lead, house trained, and I know basic commands but I would benefit with continued training too. I love kids of all ages, and I’m very gentle, but sometimes I forget how big I am!
Meet Tank!
I’m looking for my forever home - could it be you? ? I’m an 8 year old staffy and a real softy. I’ve got a heart of gold and I just love my humans. My foster mum just loves my soft shiny coat and my great big smile! I would like my new owner to be home more often than not as I’m a real people kind of guy. I know how to do “sit, down, shake hands and stay”. I am very good in the car and I hardly ever bark. I don’t dig, except for to bury my treats occasionally. I sleep in the laundry all night long without a peep from me. I need to be allowed inside because I want to be with my humans wherever they are and be part of what they’re doing. I walk beautifully on the lead in the park with my fancy new halter and sit as soon as I am told. I have lovely manners and I do not jump up on people. I prefer small dogs to those big scary ones and I have lived with a Chihuahua buddy.
Meet Zelda!
Hi there people's, Zelda is the name, loving and being loyal to you is my aim. I have a lovely light brown coat that doesn't shed so when we are cuddling you won't get covered in hair but I am good in sharing everything else. I don't mind sharing my food, water and toys. I will even share your lounge with you. I love laying my head on your lap so you can de stress by patting me. I am a 12mth old Staffy X and my foster mum says that I have really good manners. I sit for treats and don't snatch. When you call out Zelda I come running straight away. I love playing with other doggos but can amuse myself. I don't mind birdies but am not used to pussy cats as haven't met any yet. I am fully house trained so that's good. I am still a little bit timid every now and then at first meeting humans but 1 pat and we are mates. Foster mum says I am good girl because I won't jump all over you, only climb on you when you are sitting down. I am a pretty calm girl and only get really excited when I see another doggie friend. I do give out a couple of barks if people come calling but not non stop. Did I mention cars. I love car rides. I am a mostly good girl on a lead. I like kids but haven't met any babies yet. Foster mum said that I adapt to all situations so far really quickly and that I am a very brave girl because thunderstorms don't bother me. I just keep sleeping or playing through them. My foster mum also said I am not a snorer so that's good too isn't it cause I love sleeping near you if you want. I always try to be a good girl and I learn quickly. If you think we could be forever family please contact QSAR
Meet Ruby!
Hi I’m Ruby Blue, I know I’m stunning but please don’t be blinded by my beauty. I am a cheeky Amstaff girl and need experienced, very specific owners. In my short life I have had over 8 homes. I need my next home to be my forever. If you don’t tick all of my needs please do not enquire.
I need: -
- Experienced and committed owners
- Structure
- Boundaries
- Continued training
- No small children
- Decent fences
- Someone home more often than not.
I have been fostered with a male Amstaff similar to my age and energy levels. I am a bouncy energiser bunny. So if you already have a dog I’d be best suited to a male of similar age and play style. I am not suited to older dogs. But I do LOVE my humans!
